@iHorse777 I agree she had a TINY role in twilight, people barely knew her and then she gets up in the air and shows her real talent which twilight never did, and if it wasn't for this nomination they probably still might not show her talent

@iHorse777 Not just because they are famous, because they are connected. Nominees do a lot of networking, visiting talk shows, "making the rounds" during the voting season, the studios spend a lot of money promoting in the trades. It also helps A LOT to share the same political view or other "popular" issue as most of Hollywood. Most members of the academy vote for people they like & movies with subject matters they like because they don't have time to watch all movies. This is the reality.

The fact that she's just been invited to be an Academy member and allowed to vote for the Oscars would be completely laughable if it weren't so sad. If you haven't figured out now that the Oscars is a joke that should seal it for you. It's ALL about fame nothing about talent.
