  • These assholes are always chillin' on the dogwood trees in my backyard. They look slow and stupid, but if you get too close they'll fly right at you, just like that. They're harmless but I don't mess with them 'cause they have some kind of death wish. These crazy bastards really don't give a shit how big you are, they'll come at you.

  • It's almost like it knows it's being recorded

  • that isn't an assassin bug...its a leaf footed bug they look really like assassin bugs but their legs have spur like things and have a tube to suck juices from leaves and fruit. They are completely harmless.

  • I KNOW...I couldn't believe the damn thing could fly either!!!! lol I bet that scared you to death!

  • Ha ha, really aggressive little....

  • They walk slow but attack very fast. Thanks for the information.People must be very careful around them now on.

  • LOL! He was sizing you up and then snap! right at you... I don't think he liked that big lens in his face or maybe he saw his reflection in the lens and thought it was another Assassin Bug. Great sidebar info also!

  • I see these bugs around too. Very informative and humorous post. Thanks!
