I remember this jingle, as well as the one they aired around same time with slightly modified lyrics to this version of song, where they mixed a lot of clips of people doing their thing in and around Buffalo. They aired both promos a great deal in the late-afternoon / early evening slots when school kids were watching after-school tv. As a result, I imagine a lot of WNY thirtysomething know this jingle quite well.

This promo (and the shiny 29 in the circle) stirs up a lot of emotions. WUTV was my favorite station, despite the fact we had to use rabbit ears to tune in, and sometimes, reception was bad. I was still able to sing through most of the jingle despite the fact I haven't heard it in thirty years.

@only1moore WUTV aired the "ABC Late Night" schedule that WKBW pre-empted in favor of their version of "The Late Show."
Nothing, though, like the WCBS intro of "The Late Show," or WABC and their "rotating cameraman" for the 4:30/Saturday/Sunday Night Movie shows...

"The Love Boat"? "Charlie's Angels?" Are you sure they aired this because "Angels" didn't enter syndication until 1981. As for "Boat" it had to be the ABC daytime repeats that WKBW pre-empted.

I liked this promo also. Talk about old tv broadcasting equipment seen; those tape machines are antiques in museums now.
