Human Following Mobile Robot

Mobile Robot following a Human. Automatic human detection identifies the human while he enters the camera view and then tracking algorithm is started.
The algorithm is developed and tested in ISL, IIT Kanpur

The Algorithm has two portion i) human detection ii) human following. You can follow using SONAR but you cant detect

Why don't you allow the robot to search when the person goes out of the view? That would require a simple search algorithm. You may make it little predictive based on the past movements .. that would really make your robot look intelligent ... ;-)
