@heomak its not for the ethnocentric attitude :S its ´cus the prawns, cows, shrimps,etc, are easier to breeding that a whale :L they have just 1 or 2 in a really loooong periods so if u make the count, while u eat them they cant have enough time to reproduce themselves, and u end whit an other species :L i love Japanese culture and people but we need to think beyond us...

@heomak It's because of the environmental impact that whales have against the ecosystem, without them, many fish that are eaten largely by whales, would be in huge abundance.. that would affect the ecosystem. So we need to keep a balance, right now.. their numbers a declining.. I'm not for or against whaling.. I just think.. why bother to get politcal, just leave the extremist and activists to do what they do best (Y)

to all those who say "let's not eat whales. eat something else"...all i can say is "hypocritical much"?. seriously. your line of reasoning is stupid as hell. who are you to judge and say that this type of animal is cute and cuddly looking, so therefore it shoudln't be eaten. why exempt the whale and not cows, prawns, shrimps, and pigs? stop the ethnocentric attitude.
