I love this amp.

This amp does some pretty impressive cleans. The 50w held me back at a jam a couple of weeks ago, so the clean headroom isn't that good... I'm actually considering on getting the JCA100HDM.

It has a whole load of gain... I can't see myself using anything more than 5 on it. I've been able to get some brutal, crisp, dry, articulate metal rhythm tones. I've been sticking with the gain mainly on 2 to 4.

It wonderfully responds to its EQ knobs. At first I thought it was really shrill because I like to boost my mids and cut my highs.... so I used an MXR 10 band to shape it up but then I found that the mids on this amp contributes to some shrillness, so I backed them off and raised the highs to compensate for it and now it sounds awesome. Now I don't need the 10 band at all.

Okay... now just listen to it. Please use quality headphones or speakers. Audio is a combination of SM57 Beta A and the camera mic (for bass). I'm plugged straight in with nothing in the FX loop. No pedals at all.

After this video I'm going to be doing full gear demos my music store's youtube channel. My Spring quarter for college will all be online, so I'm gonna have a ton of free time to do these videos and regular guitar videos on this channel.

  • Shit..everyone is asking about the guitar with a hanger tag,..What about the amp..?....Does it do hard rock?

  • @johnduss

Yes. I'm gonna do an actual review on it soon.

  • Jnukes, did you start on Acustic guitar ?

How did you keep this agillity ?

i'll be very glad if you answer me , THANKS ^^

  • @handpro

Hi, sorry about not answering your channel comment. I don't quite understand what you mean by it.

I started on electric... that's what I suggest. The string gauge is much thinner and easier to press. Agility comes from practice and being comfortable playing.

  • 0:55 isn't wankery! It's Soothsayer! Or some Buckethead tune. It's 8 AM here lol it's too early for me to tell.

  • jesus, dude ur really good. are u in a band??

  • How long have you been playing now buddy?

Nonetheless, you're quite the guitarist and that's a hell of an amp.

  • Sounds like a good amp, but why does every guitarist flail around trying to sound like some metal idiot. Its all about finesse, not speed or banging around like some metal idiot. BTW I like metal, just the older stuff that actually had some actual melody and groove, priest / sabbath.

  • PRS! i love those guitars

  • BINGE AND GRAB!!!!!!!!!
