Richard "Coeur de Lion" (ihis real name in fact in French not in English) was actually more French than English
he is one of the numerous "French Kings of England" after teh invasion of 1066 & the next 300 years of the French dominationin England
For your information for example, Richard I spoke only french and not english...

Cumbas, thank you for your comment. What you say was never in doubt, so I don't believe there is any cause for you to be offensive. As an outsider to Europe I have a love of both France and England. Sadly it seems there are some 'vanitious' French as well.
