Hi Doug, nice videos. Do you know why in west palm and lake worth areas, csx cannot blow horns, but fec can. I live near the csx tracks in lake worth and miss hearing the horns . Thanks for any info. Ken

not sure why, but i sure would be mad if the FEC had to stop blowing the horn!

@kenpsteele that was the deal they made when they began double tracking the CSX line in S. FLA. while they double tracked the area, they upgraded the crossings. that way, enough safety features would be in place that the cities could petition tri-rail to not blow their horns. so far though, its only WPB that has the no horn rule

There are quite a few 'No Blow' crossings in Dade & Broward now, but I have still gotten some toots from the crews at those crossings though. =8^D

@kenpsteele hey man i saw your question. the reason CSX and all of them cant blow their horns is because people complained about the horns being to loud so now railroad crossings have small horns that aren't all that loud. i know this because my dad is a engineer on the FEC.
