  • who the cuffley can you see your marker!

  • Hi who needs markers when you have autosteer (most of the time)

  • Take all the skill out of the job tho...

  • totally agree with you there, but it's not as good as the JD starfire auto steer so with the Cat version you do have to have the skill to drive straight as the signal can be quite erratic when near woods, the odd tree and power lines

  • Only good on straight lines?

what about fields which have alot of shape to them with akward turning points

i use a 3m Drill/power harrow combo and even that is a bastard to turn in some of the fields i work in, alot of then having small triangles to fill.

That Auto system is fine on planes where the fields are near perfect boxes.

  • well most of the fields we have you can pull a straight line through most of them but we do have the odd 1or 2 that we do drill on a curve, our fields vary in size with the smallest being about 4 acres and the largest being just over 200 acres

  • who is that for chivers? i cant think of anyone else with a cat that size around here.

if it is chivers i saw u drilling last year, man that cat looks like it pulls like a freight train, u were going somem :D

    keep on farming.

  • I only use a 3m drill...so pretty pointless having GPS any way.....

I can see how it had asvantages for large fields and being able to drill around the clock in catchy seasons

  • No it's definatley a 8M drill as we have 2 of them to make life a little easier for the 7000+ acres we have to drill every year(that is when we are nowhere near trees or power lines)

  • is tat not a 6m drill, must be handy not having to try and follow them cunts of markers
