Right... i was on the team from '06 to '10

  • @256414

-I'm in Osan AB, Korea now and I was on the Thunderbirds for 4 years. Only officers stay on the team for 2 years. I'm an enlisted and most of us do 3 to 4 years. I'm alumni! I'm telling you guys the truth. I've given hundreds of tours!

  • @Bealio wrong....

  • my fault, forgot about the crew chiefs:)

  • crew cheifs are allowed 3 years genius...mr airforce

  • How do i know this? I am in the USAF and very Close personal friends with the

'07-'08 team and they showed me the jets personally. And the reason why i say Bealio is stupid is because every single member of the thunderbirds is only allowed two year term with the team and to Bealio he claims to have been there for three years. Now that is pretty akward. I hope to talk to Bealio about his time in the team. And see which squadron he is in now. If he is who he says he is.

  • cambruda, you are totally correct about # 4 jet. Bealio you are totally wrong and you make yourself look stupid, they do not always put the number 4 jet in slot position, it is only in slot when something is wrong with the original slot jet. Now let me tell you some facts about the jets the thunderbirds use, all of those jets numbers 1 through 8 are the oldest

F-16s in the whole fleet of the Air Force. The number 4 is the oldest out of the whole team and always give problems to the thunderbird

  • Lol, you guys are right, i don't know what i'm talking about, i just work on those exact jets everyday for a living, i've been on the team for only 3 years, what could I possible know right? Anyways, yes, we put a D model in the #4 spot all the time.

  • lol no, #4 does not.

  • You are all wrong. They put extras out there because if they find a problem with one of the machines during inspections then thay will get rid of the problem one and use the back up. They actually have several extras, but only plae one extra one out on the run way so they dont have to delay the show, but if they find 2 problem jets then there is no choice, but to delay.....just lettin you guys know.
