John Simm stars as Bernard (Barney) Sumner, singer and founding member of Joy Division and New Order.

Blown away by an unknown local band called the Sex Pistols, TV personality Tony Wilson (Steve Coogan) is inspired to invent a uniquely anarchic record label. Soon he's promoting everyone from New Order to Happy Mondays on his newly formed Factory Records...and partying like a rock star.

  • -"They aren't going to be called Joy Divison anymore, they're going to be called New Order"

-"New Order? You know that's an even more Nazti name than Joy Division, right?"

    lol! Brilliant. 9:

  • I love how John Simm got Barney's mannerisms and speech down so well that he ends up looking like him, even though he doesn't actually look like him. Gillian's brilliant: 'All you've gotta do is press a few buttons anyway.'
