@17jun1989 I don't want to run around with a shield basically representing Islam.
-
@17jun1989 It offends me as an atheist.
-
I don't know Oot mythology well, but did the Goron's build the temple, did any of the respective races that kept a particular temple build it as well, or did hylians? What if the chanting is in fact ancient hylians. It's hard to tie the chanting directly to Gorons.
-
As a Muslim, this is not offensive, nor was it ever complained for, blame Nintendo.
-
this is perfectly fine from an islamic perspective
-
@S92Chicken i agree with you. the same happened by taking the Cross from the shield and other christianity aspects from the first 2 games. from ALTTP onward the aren't present
-
I saw this video on Pop-Fiction Video Game!
-
@ryutoki Grey or yellow stone cube blocks you push in the game, also they are pressure switches that have the moon symbol on them. You must of seen them unless you played the alt version
-
@17jun1989 What blocks are you talking about?
-
@17jun1989 yes but that goes without saying :D nothing beats the classics
-
@fiercdeity3 Now they have, Stupid Nintendo took away original Fire temple them and Moon symbols on the 3DS Version. N64 Version is the best.
-
@17jun1989 did they take the symbols on the shield and blocks away too???? holy shit lol i must have the boss-est version available lmao. lucky guy i am
-
@MathiasDSmith Whats Terrorism got to do with Islamic prayer chants, please dont mix Oil with Water.
-
@fiercdeity3 Dude go to zelda.wikia.com, no one complained about the theme, Nintendo changed the Fire temple theme, it was their choice. I never had the honor of original version, but my version did have Moon Shield and blocks.
-
I remember hearing that same islamic chanting in a desert level in the N64 game "Cruise 'N World".
-
Wow. this version sounds stupid. im glad i got the game before people QQ'd about the music. the islamic chanting adds a kool ass effect to the level.
-
@jacob3178259 I like to play this music load when my friends come over, sounds like there living in the game world.
-
@truthseeker010101 I'm muslim and I agree.
-
@wetback626 I'm muslim and I... am okay with the chanting.
-
the islamic chanting is kinda creepy but at the same time reminds me of prince of persia the two thrones alittle ('~')
-
is there anything that muslims arent offended by?
-
Christians demonizing Islam which is their sister religion, makes no sense!
-
I still have my copy with the original version :)
Original Islamic one is way cooler, fuck the soccer moms that complained about it.

I honestly believe that Nintendo made a great decision by taking it off. Whether it offends people or not, I'm pretty sure Nintendo didn't want to associate OoT with any religion.
But am not going to lie, it does sound better with the chanting. Gives it a better atmosphere.
