I always try a local spot instead. The food when you go to a smaller guy sometimes has a lot more soul. I also don't really like donuts much anymore for some reason (Good for me though since I'm fat enough to bleed gravy)

Dunkin' Donuts has THE BEST COFFEE. Period.

I heard it's good. I never had it since I don't like coffee. I like their hot chocolate, but it's way too overpriced. Tim Horton's should expand in the U.S. I've seen some franchises opening in Maine, New England, and I think upstate NY. Their prices are much lower and they have very good things to order. It would create more competition for Dunkin Donuts and make their donuts & coffee more affordable.

Tim Horton's is very BIG here in Michigan..they are all over the place...in my opinion if they migrated all over, they would KILL starbucks biz...better products all around with a cheaper tag.

I know. Whenever I'm on a roadtrip, I always stop by there for breakfast. The 1st time I went to one was in New Brunswick Canada. They had soup, bagels, pastries, and so many kinds of those Timbits (more than I've seen since). They had a lemon type which was very good & all sorts of chocoloate, glazed & jelly filled Timbit varieties. I don't know if any of them are that good anymore, but they beat the crap out of Starbucks and I like them better than Dunkin' Donuts too. DD got too expensive.

As a Canadian, I can easily say most of us either like or hate Tim Hortons. It's true, most people love the coffee and they do have decent prices. However, much has changed in the past few years (as I imagine DD has) and most of their products aren't made fresh anymore. Doughnuts are getting discarded in favor for soups and sandwiches. I'd rather have the DD mini doughnuts over timbits! It's now very annoying; they over-branch themselves to the point where you'd have 5 stores in one town.

I used to like the Timbits when I first had them in 1997. I barely had them since then because I haven't been to that many Tim Horton's since then.
But the same thing happened with DD in the U.S. They overbranch themselves too and their prices are ridiculous while the quality of the donuts is nothing like it was when this commercial aired. Though I do like the Munchkins (DD's version of Timbits).

In the early 90's, they used to have mini donuts (eclairs, boston creme, etc) for 5 for $1.00. Now, their regular donuts are almost the same size as those mini-donuts they used to have and are close to $1.00 each. It's just not what it used to be.
