@jpzxcvbnm A proper socialist society wouldn't dicate every citizen having equal wealth. It would just dictate that the gap between rich and poor is greatly lessened. Our middle class is dying.
And technically people already have to give up their wealth through taxes -- so it's not like it's something new.

Only a socialist future holds out the hope of a sustainable one for the planet. We need to build a global society in which production is democratically decided upon and centered round what nature and humanity collectively need.

So. How will we bring out this Socialism? It requires that everyone gives in to the ideal. Let's just say a middle class man doesn't want his money to be redistributed, he will resist or hide his money somehow. With enough people thinking like that, socialism will not truly come to fruition without coercion or bloodshed. Okay let's say that we all have equal money. If I try to get more money by opening up a small business, why would I work if know my money will just go elsewhere?

No country is more backward than our own, where we CLAIM to be the greatest leader in the world, because we can and will murder so many, yet have millions homeless and hungry. We claim to be the world's bastion of "Freedom", yet deny equality to blacks, to women, to gays.
