This begins a series of videos I have titled: Survival Kit Components. In this series I go over what to put in your survival kit. Maybe you want to make a small kit or large kit, I show you some examples of what to put into your kits.

Part 1 covers containers, basically what to put your survival kit in.
Containers can be endless depending on the size of the survival kit you are making. There are ziploc bags, altiods tins, medicine bottles, bags, packs, backpacks, etc.

  • Another benefit to building your own kit (imho): Much more likely to not only give some real thought to the contents but also (ideally - hopefully) learn how to use each component ... before it hit's the fan! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with this series.

  • @NewbieCamper

    I agree. Thanks for watching.

  • i dont know if this is a good idea at all. probably not but im going to say it anyways. i dont smoke but ive been told smoking is relaxing. if your stranded and you need tp sit down and think and relax. i put a grape cigarello in my kit wrapped in a cut out piece of paper towel. this could serve as something to relax with. or a quick lighting long lasting burning material to start a fire with. use a match to light it and it doesnt go out as easily as a match. anywas that was my idea let me know

  • @SilverWPhoenix

Not a bad idea if you smoked, i suppose. I would advise against putting a cigar in your kit especially if you have never smoked. That might be very good for relaxing in a survival situation.

Excellent. It all depends on how big of a kit you want. Containers can be just about anything.

It varies depending on the kit. If you want just the Gear Pods or the Gear Pods with the contents. Check out their site. gearpods . com
