Chassis: Type 59 Widened 5" Bugatti Trust Sanctioned #BC 128

Engine: 3.3 Litre 8 Cylinder D.O.H.C. S/N 453, dry sump. supercharged.

Horse Power: 217.8 at 6,000RPM

Rebuilt and dyno by Phil Reilly & CO. of Corte Madera, California

This is a small clip of the whole dyno, 2:37 seconds of the full approximately 40min. The engine spent a total of 3 hours on the dyno.

  • @snake322 İ want to ask a question,First is that the actual engine of type57 ? and second,is it seriously straight 8 ? :OOO

  • The torque on this must be insane!

  • @snake322 probably because of the unneccesary length. making cars with hoods that long is just a waste, which is where the v8 comes in to play.

  • @alna1287 That too. and designing a car with a really long bonnet is a pain in the ass..whatever.

  • @snake322 I remember hearing that the stress on the bearings from such a long crankshaft flexing caused them to wear out quickly.... but im not sure so dont quote me
