I had a few people ask me how to tremolo pick. I know this video is not very helpful...im not a good teacher. but hopefully somebody will get something out of it =)
**The reason why I stumble with words in the beginning is cos I had to burp and I didn't want to burp on camera :)
but I held it in ;)

  • Quick question what tuning are you using for your guitar ? mines in drop d cause usaly thats what most people use for metal playing but when i play in it it doesn't sound like that...i sounds like its vibrating to much? or am i just strumming to hard? xD

  • @JeremyIlguard I was in Drop C tuning. I also use emg active 81 pickups. if u have bad pickups that can be why it doesnt sound good ;)

  • Gawd your legs are white.

  • @MuhammadSweepmez ...do you really think I'd make a video with no pants? -.- they were khaki dickies

  • would you recommend a thin pick or a thick one for tremolo picking?

  • @BurningBethlehem Great question, I forgot to mention this on the video. I would HIGHLY recommend Thick (1mm+) thickness. I Personally use Dunlop Gator Grip 1.5mm(best picks ever imo). In this video I am using Gator Grip 1.15mm...Because my brother made a mistake and bought the wrong ones. Thin picks will literally wear out in minutes if u tremolo pick with them.

  • Hey,

I have a great guitar teacher and as I started to play how you explained, he immediatly told me to stop and said, it would be absolutly wrong. (Ok, not "absolutly wrong" but still far from perfect)

He said I should not change the angle of the Pick, and now i practised it the way he told me and actually, it sounds much better. You can hear every stroke much better and you can use every kind of Pick, not only the thick ones.

  • not really good advice. I would advice an other 'pick grip'.

  • @JemanuPutra no evil music here, dude

  • every day i'm shuffling....

  • every day i'm suffling....

  • @Msalazar6sicVI lol the same day I lose my thick pick xD

  • You taught me the one thing I was missing to do this, how to hold the pick. Thank you so much!!

  • @MetalSk8Shred ok so it's not just me then. I can only tremolo pick sitting down but standing up I cant because my forearm moves with my wrist no matter how much i try to stop it.
