Liam Brady said in the Telegraph the Friday before the match that he didn't trust the way referees were chosen over the past 20 years in World Cup Games. He felt that the refereeing wouldn't go our way. He was right. Who draws the bigger crowd France or Ireland? That is all FIFA are interested in. If this had happened to Germany, England, Spain or Italy there would be a rematch. We don't count in the big picture as far as FIFA are concerned.

This was not a mistake, it was two deliberate handballs. I am a fan for the Ukrainian team and I was sad that they lost, Greece played better and that is it...there is always one loser. But this was truly a blatant hand, it is cheating and most probable the referee got paid very well for overlooking two handballs.

i believe that this match totally proves that the game should have video tecnology such as in rugby and other spots. i also believe that that the irish team did themselvess proud and that winning or losing, the whole country of ireland agrees that the irish team acted professionaly and with such passion that hasnt been seen in a long long time... beating france1-0 after 90 minutes in french soil is an achievement that no one can deny. :) come on ireland!
