@SalfordJames For me it started at he shrine - when I got to the shrine she started talking to me and so the quest began.

The quest doesn't start at the shrine, it starts wherever you find Meridia's orb thingy.

My beacon is fucked up. It takes me to the drk brohood hideout(dawnstar) and takes me to the waypoint standing over it and there is not one fucking thing there.
