  • @GREYHNDLOVER billions of animals smarter than these dogs are executed every year, what makes this animal special?

  • Point(s) well taken. By the way, I've never met a vicious greyhound. I've never met a greyhound I didn't want to pet. They're a wonderful breed. I don't know how anyone could even be anti greyhound.

  • @GREYHNDLOVER ...and don't forget, it was trainers in the beginning who sought to endear the public to greyhounds as pets. Anti-Greyhounds zealots would have had the public believe they're vicious and bloodthirsty and incapable of being great pets. So, before patting oneself ont he back, look to the trainers of these magnificent creatures and remember where to give thanks.

  • @GREYHNDLOVER Ooooooooooh, so your 'adoption coordinator' told you. So it MUST be true! Sure, there are dogs out there that don't receive proper or even adequate/timely treatment - but, the VAST majority of them are treated with the love, dignity and care they deserve. Better than 90% (we can't be sure of the numbers, because Anti-Greyhound groups refuse to submit adoption numbers) of adoptable retired racers are placed into loving homes. There isn't another breed who can lay claim to that.

  • it's a great life for them. The fact that they can be killed because they're considered livestock makes me sick. Thank God for rescue groups because things are better now, although not perfect.

  • Our adoption coordinator told me stories about how dogs have been injured racing without getting medical treatment. Dogs who came to our group who needed surgery because of botched surgeries prior to the group getting them. People hoarding, and neglecting and/or mistreating them,. That happens to all breeds though and isn't greyhound specific. Being crated except for training, racing, and relieving themselves. Stacked up like items on a shelf. Until we rescue them, I don't think it's

  • @GREYHNDLOVER I'm sorry... what do you mean by "what humans have put them through"? Just curious.

  • Yes I know....I'm biased......there are no better, sweeter, funnier, and more forgiving or trusting dogs than greyhounds!! Just look at how wonderful and loving they are to us after what humans have put them through. By they way......absolutely love the videos and I want your puppies - lol!!

  • They are gorgeous! I have a brindle and a black.

  • @puppyprincess28 lurchers are dogs which is a mix between a greyhound and any other dog
