Jehan Ara served as the first woman President of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) for two consecutive terms and in January 2008 was appointed as the first paid woman CEO of the organization. In this interview with CIPE, she talks about the career path that brought her into the current leadership position and about her daily work. Although the challenges of running a business association may seem daunting, Jehan Ara finds her job exciting and engaging. She also talks about her work with CIPE on public policy advocacy and the sectoral reform agenda for the IT sector in Pakistan focused on human resources, legal and policy reforms, infrastructure, and financial challenges facing the industry.

  • An economist at a local TV revealed that Zardari/Ruling Class of Pakistanis has above $150 billion abroad of which if they bring back only 25% economic instability can end & Pakistan can develop at a faster pace. West claims to have invested this fund here but a poor Pakistani doesnt even get a single penny out of it
