Featuring the following former members of the Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller Orchestras: Jimmy Abato, Hank Freeman, Tex Benke, Al Klink, Manny Thaler, Mick McMickle, Bobby Hackett, Lou Stein, Bernie Priven, Steve Lipkins, Al Mastren, Harry Di Vito, Moe Purtill, Trigger Alpert, Frank D'Annolfo, Carmen Mastren, Charlie Shavers, and Cliff Leeman.
Erskine Hawkins: Tuxedo Junction (0:02)
Hoagy Carmichael: Stardust (3:34)
Jerry Gray: String of Pearls (6:53)
Probably the best recreation of the Miller style, certainly better than the current version of the Glenn Miller orchestra. Why? Because it is played by veteran musicians who have the feeling for this type of music. Modern musicians just don't have the same feeling or warmth.

I have the British edition of this LP as well as an American version on the Audition label. Charlie Shavers is not in the personnel and the drummer is Moe Purtill.
