Exploring a bit further the creative possibilities of fanfiction, with a little help from my friends.

The next episode after this will be the final TDSC show. I'm not sure when it will be up, but definitely by the end of 2010. It's been a fun ride. Of course, all of the TDSC stuff you love continues on in my podcast, "Dark Empire Radio." You can find it on iTunes, and at: http://darkempireradio.podbean.com

The Dark Side Chats is a self-produced series by Lord Bruticus, the host of the show. Episodes are made on occasion, not on a regular schedule.

This show is dedicated to exploring the world of Star Wars geekdom, and why there is such fervor after more three decades of Star Wars in the movies, and now also on television. After all, there are simple fans, and then there are those that proudly refer to themselves as geeks.

By interviewing fellow geeks, and adding a bit of variety of his own, Lord Bruticus takes the viewer into the realm of the Star Wars geek from a darker, yet comedic point of view. Join The Brutal One as he chats and explores the geekier side of Star Wars fandom.

  • Joe, I still don't see why you want to stop TDSC. Great episode as always. I might be interested in sending you some of my SW short stories. I would enjoy listening t you read them on the air.

  • @terrylawson666 The main reason is twofold: lack of time available (took weeks of prep just for this episode), as well as a low subscription rate (low interest) after two years. It's not a snub against the current subscribers, it just makes sense. The podcast now has over three thousand subscribers, so the choice to me is clear. The same fun on this show still carries onward on Dark Empire Radio. I'd love to narrate your short fics, just email them in! And thanks for watching, my friend. :)

  • Man, you did a brilliant job at this!!

Yeah, Va-SILLY ought to know his place. That's one rare moment when a Jedi slimeball... er, aaahh, I mean... Master like myself would help out a Sith Lord.

Hmmm, now that I have a beard, I look like Master Qui Gon Jinn ha ha.

Oh well, sad to see TDSC go but that doesn't change the fact that it's a great series for fellow fans to express themselves.

Thank you Darth Bruticus for giving us a medium for us to get together and exchange ideas.

  • @JDS777 I'm glad you like the way it turned out, John! I had fun making it. Thanks to everyone who still watches TDSC after these two years (believe it!); I hope they enjoy the podcast, as it will continue the zany fun, among other things.

  • Aww..It's going to be weird not seeing a new TDSC post anymore.

  • @heroicpose I promise one more before the end of the year, a sort of finale of some type. Your TD-9993 eps are awesome, by the way. I have enjoyed all of the ones I have seen.

  • @goofy92688 Ok brotha, I understand. I just wish there was a way for you to do the show, even if it was one episode every few months. I have checked out the DER and it is pretty cool. I'll follow ya wherever the force guides you. lol
