getherer (lowercase intentional) is a cellphone application that doesn't exist. What you see in here is a Processing.org application that looks like a cellphone, but isn't actually running on cellphone hardware. So really, it's all about the puppets and the silly voices who are pretending to sell you this imaginary application.
I made these puppets from cloth scraps and foam rubber blocks over three days, and did audio/video recording over the course of an afternoon. Additional editing and rendering took it up to 4 days. Not bad for a 5-minute one-man film. It could be much better with better lighting, framing, editing, sound synch, fabric, foam preparation, sets, and maybe a couple of other people to help with the process... but I'm rather proud that I finished it at all.
This was done for the dsdn112 paper at Victoria University of Wellington. Deadlines and the fact that I've never made a puppet before contribute to the time limits.
