@ArchangelMichael1991 Sorry I know I'm a bit late to the "party" but if you read up on Singapore's history, I'm sure you'll find that Singapore (as LionRawr87 pointed out) WAS part of (then) Malaya. Japan invaded Singapore during WW2 and after all the atrocities they performed I seriously doubt any Singaporean (who remotely remembered or understood what was done then) would willingly chose to sing an iconic song in Japanese. BTW, bear in mind this is an oldie and isn't a 21st century song.

@ArchangelMichael1991 - if its japanese anthem don't you think the country that they invade in south east asia are all in japanese anthem? n might as well be one country n not split? lmao make sense rite? ur just a mixed race so nothing to do with the national anthem my dear :)
-
@ArchangelMichael1991 - because it's never in japanese :) singapore once belong to malaysia and most of the people are malay. and then we got independent thanks to the malaysian prime minister and whatever it is the national anthem has to be in malay. you can go n reserch the whole history about it. japanese isn't part of our country they just invade singapore and has nothing to do with cultural.

The name of the song is TUNAS KASIH. You can hear/watch it in this channel too. BTW, you could at least say 'please'!
