Here is another video from my old VHS collection, this time i have put 4 different aircraft on this clip,
We have the Battle of Britain memorial flight minus the spitfire,Gloster meteor, and lastly i think it is a Grumman Tigercat,if i am wrong i am sure there is someone out there who can correct me. lol.

  • hiya john yep m8 finningley was great mate shame they closed it down ......thing with church fenton they were pulling the crowds in and making it pay that was the only thing some pple looked forward to each year.

  • my late father was stationed at raf church fenton back in 1951 i was born in ulldeskelf the villiage next to the station i can remember the 1958 air display very clearly

  • Its 92'. I was 6 years old back then and got a free helicopter ride on a Bell Jetranger( the bloke forgot to ask my dad for the 18 quid). It was Fenton' then onto Finningley 92'. Church Fenton being the second to last time I saw the Vulcan in flight.

  • They'll be in the loft at my parents probably! But next time I go I'll see if I can find them.
