The purpose of this group i to attract funding for the realisation of a documentary film about Kancha Sherpa, Nepal. Kancha is a highly respected man, and the last living sherpa of the 103 sherpas, that brought Sir Edmund Hilary and his expedition to the summit of MT Everest in 1953. The very first expedition to reach the summit.

81 years and diabetes brings his life on earth towards the end. Many times during his life, he has been asked by National Geographic and BBC to do a film about his achievements and experiences on various expeditions to the roof of the world. He has always refused to bring unnecessary attention to his life and person. Several authors and journalists have written about him, as he is an extraordinary person with strength, knowledge and experience beyond comprehension - 8 times he has reached the summit, carrying 135 kg or more, without oxygen.

His high age and physical condition, make him look into the future, and the sight of the future perspectives for the sherpa culture, awakens his hopes and dreams for his culture and the preservation of it. This is the reason why he and his danish friend Bruno Jørgensen, have invited us to do this documentary.

The earnings on sales of the documentary will be donated to the sherpa people, culture and projects connected hereto in Nepal. More info is available on request. If you are interested in supporting our project please feel free to contact us on email and also feel free to invite your friends to this group. Very soon an online presentation will be available on email as well as on this group page.

Sincerely
