I`ve had this PC for 3 years , the CD-ROM died last year , got a Memorex replacement for $25 , running great since , a few months ago I decided to upgrade it with an Athlon 64 x2 5000+ ( Ebay $ 25 ) , 4 gb 5400 800 mhz memory ( Ebay $40 ) , Nvidia 9500gt card ( Ebay $50 ) and windows 7 ( Ebay $60 ) spent $ 175 and now it will stay with us a lot longer , quite an improvement over stock .

I'm stuck with this desktop now. A few years ago, I played Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge on this computer and this computer ate my CD. It broke it into little itty-bitty pieces. Now my CD-ROM can't read any other disc. I have no idea of what the actual problem is with the Drive. Can somebody help me figure out what's wrong with it? For one, I opened the DVD Drive and turned it on with a CD in it and it didn't rotate. The red light comes on for one second then again, then it stops. Help me!

I am using this at the moment. Please don't buy this computer. That's a lie , I only have 140 gb of HDD space. It's a 1 core system , so it's really slow and it doesn't multitask that well. When my mom bought it for me , we get the computer , keyboard , mouse , an 18.5" screen and a free 100 dollar printer. All that for 400 dollars. That proves how bad it is. Don't expect to play any games with this computer because you will lag like a mofo.

@minhtung91 No problem you can drop a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5800+ Processor ADA5800IAA5DO - 3.0GHz, 2 x 512KB Cache, 1000MHz (2000 MT/s) FSB, Brisbane, Dual-Core, OEM, Socket AM2, Processor on that MotherBoard also. 50 bucks tiger Direct. This is why I bought this PC it was expandable.
