Robot Mini Wars Part 9 (of 10) Heat H Grudge Match

Lightning v Chaos 2. After the final the teams didn't want to let it rest there. Lightning were upset that Chaos 2 had followed them into the pit yet still won. Mind you Lightning did go in first, so that is fair enough. Nevertheless Lightning wanted a Grudge Match, and here it is. Exciting too. You will see the flame grill operate for the first time, a double flip from one of the robots, and Growler gets involved too. Clever tactical fight this one, and a long fight. A new Lightning body shell too, that can get under Chaos 2.

@wallytwit Using the radio control micro cars, we could only do 3 as that is the number of different frequencies they have. But agreed a melee would be interesting, and manic!

You should do another grudge match so it's best 2 out of 3 to decide who is the best robot.

@Gavin17259 True but I'm scared what the result might be. You see we also made the real Heavyweight Lightning on the TV show, so I'm quite glad it managed to beat Chaos 2 at least here :-)

@Gavin17259 No, and we have the video on YouTube to prove it - search 'Lightning Chaos 2' and you should find it. We fought at a live event and Chaos 2 had the edge. We had more control but couldn't get the flipper into play - he just drove off. Also once we are flipped, the gas doesn't work properly. So we'd need to make a few changes before we could take him on. Chaos 2 was way ahead of its time. I've driven it too, and it has great control.

where did you get the arena from?

@aidan00ah Part 10 of this series will show you. They are 1/10th scale which is the same scale as the pull-back toys that used to be sold. The arena is 4 foot square to give you an idea as well.
