Effecting me isn't the point. Copyright laws are. Let's say you drop a bunch of money and hard work making something so that you can make money and put food on the table for your family. Then someone comes along and makes a copy of it and gives it out for free and you don't make any more money on it. How would that make you feel? Would you care about that?
