I had a terrible experince with a gateway computer a few years ago due to the way the hinges it had, they broke after a few months of use. I own 17" HP laptop computer at the moment but it has the macbook pro hinge design on it. i wan to get an envy but the hinges on it discourage me. any advise?

I was thinking in buying an xps 15z, becuase the regular xps 15 and 17 laptops were too bulky, but this model, although a bit larger (17), seems like a very good option, specially because i would use it for gaming from time to time
