Calls for Withdrawal DateThe Associated PressIraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki now says his country wants to know when American forces will be withdrawing from his country. It is the first time al-Maliki has publicly called for a withdrawal date. (July 8)[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE] For the first time publicly -- Iraq's prime minister wants to know when American troops will be leaving his country. Speaking during a conference of Arab leaders, Nouri al-Maliki said some type of timetable should be included in a new security agreement that Iraq is negotiating with Washington. Iraq's national security adviser added the Iraqi proposal is conditioned on the ability of Iraqi forces to provide security. President Bush has opposed any idea of a timetable for withdrawal of U-S forces from Iraq. In response to this latest proposal ... The White House says it doesn't believe al-Maliki was proposing a rigid timeline for U-S troop withdrawal. A White House spokesman added ... That al-Maliki had previously said Iraq does NOT want a precipitous withdrawal because of the security consequences. ___ ___, The Associated Press.(****END****) ANCHOR VOICE:-------------------------VIDEO PRODUCER:------------------------------VIDEO SOURCE:--------------------------VIDEO APPROVAL:------------------------------VIDEO RESTRICTIONS:----------------------------------SCRIPT/WIRE SOURCE:------------------------------------
44MONTEREY: You are so right. America beat the biggest colonist of them all - England. I'm all for the US to pull out of Afghanistan and especially in Iraq. Let the two factions of Islam at odds with each other in Iraq just kill each other off. That would be good for the world overall. We don't need to do a crusade. They do it for us.

I think education, entertainment, vocational trade, and especially sports can bring young Iraqi men together and out of the streets. When young men have nothing to do, they find themselves in trouble, and become involved with the wrong crowd. Time for the Iraqi government to invest more in its young men and give them a chance to prove that they have much more to offer than violence. Iraqis should be grateful for the security that the int'l community is giving them. Time to prove yourselves!

So the American people want us out of here, the troops want to be out of here and the Iraqis want us out of here now huh? Maybe the republicans should just make up there own little army for all the stupid wars that they pick since they are the only ones that want us here anyways.

Invading Armies Do Not Need The Permission Of The Occupied Country, by definition. Many colonialist armies have been defeated.

He needs the Sadrists to apporve this treaty so he is asking for a time table to let them know that he has their concerns at heart.
