Congrats to Nick, but there were guys that were more talented, more original, and played with much more feeling. I think you picked the wrong guy here.

@metalwillhatecrew Chapman Guitars was looking for a "bluesy feel player", not a technician. I specifically stated in the competition video that I was not looking for a shredder, but a guy who could fit into the existing artist roster and bring that blues element.

Nick is a great blues player and he was chosen not only by myself but also by Eddie Kramer and Misha mansoor, we chose the right guy to win this competition.

@RoathRipper Not at all... It is 100% about being able to create great feel and write awesome music/songs.

Musical beauty is in the ear of the beholder, not the speedometer and I say that as a guy who can play fast.

@RobChappers Hey Chappers, maybe this competition should be taken into consideration regarding the ML-3. Make a guitar with a more "Bluesy/Southern" sound. You already have the T-Style shape chosen for you so bring those players into Chapman Guitars! (I would also happen to love a good T-Style guitar myself!)
