SOCIOECONOMIC INTEREST

• Reform Student Loan Program so that students can receive financial aid from a broader base of institutions rather than specific, pre-contracted banks.
• Create a more diverse campus by integrating minorities into the open house tours as opposed to scheduling two minority group tours per year.
• Expand the text rental program to include summer courses.
• Instate a cap on the number of required texts to be purchased in any given course.
• Revise article 3.01 of Student Code of Conduct. reserves the right to consider the behavior of students off campus when it is determined the off campus activity interferes with the university and its mission.

STUDENT HEALTH & WELLNESS

• Design a medium in which student clubs and organizations can interact on a regular basis, via an online forum or physical space on campus.
• Invest in a comprehensive initiative to bring more nutritional information to the menus of Food Services as well as more local and organic foods into the cafeteria.
• Ensure academic departments more dynamically represented in the affairs of SGA.
• Publicize and extend avenues for students to study abroad.
• Determine more structured criteria for snow cancellation policy.
• Reform summer parking hours at the Students Recreation Center.
• Revise appalnet alerts to inform students on things other than criminal activity.
• Reform operating hours on Sunday in the student union and library.

CAMPUS SUSTAINABILITY

• Integrate an overview of on-campus sustainability initiatives into freshman seminar classes.
• Create incentive programs for on campus residential efficiency.
• Diversify student green fees to be allocated for a broader range of sustainability projects. Any student organization can apply for financing from the student sustainability fund.
• Incorporate efficiency and renewable energy into all new renovations of on campus facilities, specifically on the yet-to-be renovated west side of campus.
• Inform students of the existing resources for pursuing sustainability on campus as well as networking them with other schools, businesses, and organizations in the sustainability field.
