I'm doing what these guys did exactly 40 years ago this day.

(Thankfully there were no bayonets...)

  • I love Aimee Mann! This is so wonderful. If only more people were kind like this. People act as though they want peace, but so many to behave in this manner. You are wonderful for not only stating that you believe in peace, but living for peace. Much love and respect.

  • Thanks Stallionette. ;-) It took me a little while to get my ass in gear- fear and loathing, all that stuff.

  • Can't wait to hear how the day went.

  • Stay tuned!

  • send up a flare when you get back to the hotel kids!

  • DId ya SEE it?

  • It is a little strange that people regard the 1960s as the great age of dissent. When it comes to war and foreign policy, opposition is a good deal more widespread now.

  • it tells you something about how much times have changed that back then it was seen as a possibility and now it is seen as a joke

  • THAT's funny. I did see signs that read "Levitate the Pentagon!" Now I get it.

  • the poet Robert Lowell, among others, was there. there was a feeling that if everyone beamed enough love at the pentagon, it would levitate.

my favorite sign from that demonstration? "LBJ Pull Out Now: Like your Father Should Have"
