UFO over Berlin

My wife and I saw this unknown flying object end of last year over our house in Berlin. It made no sound and we had been watching it coming toward our house for over 5 minutes already before we decided to get the videocamera. When we shot the video it was already further away then before. I shot the footage with a Sony 1 ccd camera with wide-angle objective. Somehow we forgot about it but a friend suggested we post it online. This is a mpeg4 but the high res version is 200MB and too big for Youtube.

That one was a weather balloon!

that's what we first thought but we both discarded the idea because it looked and 'behaved' different from a balloon.

Also, a weatherballoon would go straight up and would have something hanging underneath, wouldn't it ?

Nice vid. Looks like the sun is reflecting off the object. Did it just float away after awhile or disappear?

It came in from the south at a low altitude and in and absolutely straight line. The it altered direction towards the east and went up higher. We don't know how it disapeared. We went back into the house and forgot about it.

This seems extremely familiar to something I saw when I was a young boy. Me, my brother and my mom were on the way to a friends birthday party at the local hall, and I'm not sure if it was him or me that noticed it, but it looked like a stationary craft very similar to yours. It didn't move or make a sound, it was however gone when we came outside at the end of the party. Really weird, but seriously this is the nearest thing I've seen that compares.
