one of famous master shows how to use his tai ji with his students and some of out side people want to challenge him see what happen to them !! poor guys
I'm not a tai chi person, but I have lots of respect for them because I have experienced good skills first hand. Boxing can't compare. It's just brute muscle, weight, and external training...whoever is bigger and can take more damage wins. Not much different than your everyday ox or cow. Of course, boxing has precision and science, and wrestling also, but a truly "good" Tai Chi person is one of the most dangerous opponents you can find in my opinion. They hit you with more parts of their bodies.
The problem lies in that true mastery of taijiquan is a long, difficult process first off, secondly showing such a skill off is a waste of effort as well as purpose behind the training in the first place. Just saying that a true taiji master (yes I have sparred with one in full contact once) would destroy his opponent with very few exceptions. (I was put in the hosipital for nearly three days after fight with kidney problems resulting from internal injuries from the master's striking patterns.)

All the Taiji people - when you can show us a Master beating a boxer, then there will be proof that taiji is, on its own, a combat art. However, all I can find are videos of chi/qi/ki "masters" being hurt, harmed, or disproved by other styles and skeptics.
Have we all forgotten the lesson here? watch?v=gEDaCIDvj6I or here? watch?v=JjK0g-cDJI4
First: yes there is such a thing as an internal or soft art and no I am not referring to anything like "Combat Ki" I'm sure you know what that is. If not what I am saying is that I don't believe that any "master" can knock someone down with only "chi" from across the room.
Second: I can say that in comparison to Western boxing and wrestling they are FAR SUPERIOR. Yes I have read S.E.H. and research by one individual no matter the credentials does not make a case thanks again
I know you made this comment 2 years ago...

First: No such thing as an internal art. Read Stanely E Henning.
Second: I agree. If this "master" had two brain cells to rub together, he would run away from the boxer... or wrestler for that matter.
