whoops... looks like i was wrong, the Channel One version came out before - but it uses the "Jah Shakey" rhythm, Barry Brown then went on to Studio One and cut it again on the original rhythm.

the version of "Far East" that most people know is the Studio One version, done over the top of Roland Alphonso's "Jah Shakey" which was originally done in 1969 (sometimes the rhythm is called "Jah Shakey" or "Rocker's Hop", as the dub version was called on Dub Specialist "Hi Fashion Top Ten Dub" LP).
this version in the video is a later one i'm pretty sure.... done for Channel One/Hitbound/etc. label in JA but this label is someone else's repress.
