(Los Angeles) --Assemblymember Tony Mendoza's (D-Norwalk) Parental Accountability Act was the focus of a lengthy segment recently on Los Angeles television station KTTV Channel 11. The Parental Accountability Act, which requires parents and/or guardians of convicted gang members to attend parenting classes and meet with families who have been victimized by gang violence, is now being implemented in the Los Angeles Unified School District and will expand statewide over time. "The time has come to hold parents accountable and give parents the resources they need to help their children," says Assemblymember Mendoza. Here's more of their interview with Assemblymember Mendoza in this Assembly Assets video.
