After a couple of weeks I am able to get decent pours most of the time. this one was rich and sweet despite the tamp being a little tight.

  • Yes, I did. If this is your first machine like this (non pressurized portafilter)... it will take some time to get a feel for all the variables.

I was really scared to grind very finely. Though you certainly can over do it!

i was also scared to tamp too much. I used (and still do) use a bathroom scale.

The beans make all the difference. I couldn't find any good store bought beans. Illy is barely ok. Lavazza just a bit better. I had to look far and wide for a provider of fresh roasted beans.

  • Nice video

  • I just got my Silvia/Rocky. Did you have a problem with shots coming out too fast when you started? I get about 2 oz in 10-12 seconds.

  • wow ,you make a good barista!
