  • @LYFDDT no they do. theres a beep in the ear when to shift up. Martin Brundle tested a pirelli F1 test car and he had the beep for when to shift up and he said how useful it was :)

  • @preheatedstraw I think the drivers don't shift up by ear as they are used to the mclaren shiftlight. It's more difficult to shift by ear.

  • Yeah exactly, they are so experienced I'm sure they don't really need the shift lights. The Redbull wheel is really clever as the driver is so low down in the car I bet they can see like 20% more of the track than everyone else due to that unique shape, looks comfortable to hold too.
