Hmm, either a) Better choice in Gradius 3 music. The SNES versions are, well, fit for the SNES. Arcade would have fit better here. However, Prelude to Legend at the start is actually pretty neat. I would've recommended Silvery Wings Again for this stage or heck, even stage 1 of R-Type III would've be insanely awesome.

I'd have to disagree. It took some time, but I warmed up to the Gradius V soundtrack. I felt the same about Gradius IV's soundtrack at first. V's music's got this epic feel to it. Now I can't get enough of it. Gradius Gaiden's soundtrack is still tops, though.

How did you do it... as I recall you can't adjust the volume of the BGM/SE in game?

To add
I admit the music replacement is nice..but I feel that the SNES Gradius III music should not have been used.
The Arcade Gradius III soundtrack is superior in this regard also Gradius Gaiden also has excellent material.
Both of those would have been a much better choice then the SNES material.

Gradius V music wasn't done by Club Kukeiha like in the past which instead done by composser Hitoshi Sakamoto (Ikaruga and Radiant Silvergun) he is also known for his work on Final Fantasy Tactic's Quest's Ogre Battle series, Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy XII.

Too busy showing off that you ended up getting owned in level 4. I would have rather seen Gaiden music or Nemesis 2 music.
Fire Scramble.
Shit yes!
