I don't think people get this song. He even explained it, but that's ok. It's about how normal people go to war thinking it's going to be easy and fun. It's not saying that all soldiers torture and hurt people. Its talking about how pier pressure and war can change a man, and how they are destroyed forever. I have a lot of respect for my troops and their sacrifice. Please stop misunderstanding this song, because if you here it for what it is it's powerful and incredibly deep.

this song IS AGAINST the military. and yes, that is a GOOD thing. It's NOT against the brainwashed and working class troops though. If Rise was in favor of the military, then they would not SUPPORT MILITARY FREEZONE started by ANTI-FLAG. Rise Against is against EVERYTHING our military does. Please read the lyrics to Blood Red White and Blue, State of the Union,Black Masks and Gasoline, Alive and Well Survivor Guilt I'm not yelling, I'm just using Caps to signify the "bold" words
