USB connector on the AS-7301 / MT-6501 / WD6050

This navigation unit was modified with a USB connector added to the Microsoft WinCE side of the device. In this video, we show how this connector can be used to connect a USB flash stick and a USB full size keyboard.

I have a problem with not being able to see the screen in direct sunlight. Any suggestions? The Brightness/contrast does not seem to do much from the navi section? Do you have any video showing how to add the USB?
