This is a simple robot upper arm design that allows two small motors mounted on the shoulder to work together to opperate the shoulder and elbow joint. To acheive the same strength with an individual motor opperating each joint would require larger, heavier motors.

  • Never thought of using a differential drive this way. Nice.

  • nice work man... did you confirm this is original? if it is then really nice work... btw a lil idea.... you dont really need to have the motors mounted in the shoulder to work... you can have them midway on upper arm and have them almost look like a bicep.... this will save plenty of room for shoulder motors and rotation. just a thought in mind =]
