'86 Iroc on Dyno

Wyotech, Blairsville PA... Shhh... Don't tell I had a camera!

1986 IROC-Z 350TPI
Long tube headers, magnaflow exhaust, FAST fuel management computer system.... manual shift valve body in 700-R4 with manual TCC.

This car belonged to Wyotech and is not mine. It pulled about 240HP and 285 FT-Lbs at the wheels.

Someone please tell what kinda exhaust is on this Camaro!? I got an 89 5.0 tpi and I'm sure would just as great on mine. Comment back please, whom ever this car belongs to. Thanks

@Mexican474 This car has long tube headers with I believe 2.5" collectors... I'm not sure if it has cats or not but it is a 3" pipe back to a magnaflow muffler.

You are indeed correct, I own an 86 305 TPI IROC. This particular one has a GMPP ZZ4 Crate engine and I participated in the installation and tuning of the TPI intake setup. We used MSD's F.A.S.T. standalone setup on it. If you read carefully in my description, I never said this was a factory 350 car. Also in '86 it is rumored that GM built a handful, (around 50) 350 TPI IROC's for testing and evaluation before the mainstream release in '87. I don't believe that has actually been confirmed.

Ive seen that dyno when I was there, wasnt to happy bought how they treated me so I said F off and didnt give them there 40k and never went there but took a tour of the school

Yeah it was the biggest waste of 30,000 dollars in the history of wasted money. Wyotech was an Epic Fail.

Actually your right about there being 50 made. Also, would you reccomend wyotech? I'm thinking about going next year.

I don't think I said anywhere on here that I was going to save for a better engine... This car here isn't even mine... I have an 86 of my own and it is bone stock. Eventually when it comes time to start my restoration and upgrades I will probably opt for the LS1 engine, since it has about the performance I was looking for anyways and gives better gas mileage. My goal is to be able to outrun a 2010 mustang GT 5 speed when finished.
