@MachineAge1 Standard G with the 4th string dropped an octave below the 3rd string (G). The 4th string will be really loose.

@l2p You dont happen to have the Tab written down for that do you? If you do I would really like to get a copy or if you tell me where I can get a copy from that would be great too.

@MachineAge1 I don't have a tab. It's very close to Ruben's Train or Train 45, if I remember right. I play it a little different from Fred Cockerham, but I just listened to his version a few times after figuring out the tuning. Only thing is the break part you're gonna play the 5th string with your frailing finger, not the thumb. Brad Leftwich may have a tab in one of his Round Peak banjo books.

are you dropping your thumb to the low A to get that drone with the low A? or are you getting it with your downstroke?

I don't use much drop thumb in the song. It's just played with a normal brush stroke.
