Information about the challenge:

No More Fooling Ourselves About Weightloss!!!

FOUR MAIN RULES:
1. Make one weigh in video a week (You can make other videos, but ONE weigh in a week only... ALSO set a goal loss for the end of APRIL)
2. Make one "mini challenge video" at completion of the mini challenge. (Update us on how the mini challege went.)
3. Include one interesting fact about weightloss and include where you found the information in the sidebar.
4. Include one interesting fact about yourself!

ALSO 4 MINI CHALLENGES!

1st mini challenge (April 1- April 8)
Total 8 days

WORKOUT HARD CORE FOR AT LEAST 1/2 HOUR
(Really push yourself during these 8 days to drip in sweat when working out! Don't fool yourself, to lose weight- YOU'VE GOTTA MOVE IT!)

2nd mini challenge (April 9- April 15)
Total 7 days

1. Eat at least 5-6 combined servings of fruit/veg
2. Eat at least a 500 cal deficit (caloriecount.com if you need to track)

The only rule is that your daily calorie deficit should not be more than 1000 calories. A calorie deficit is the difference between the number of calories you eat and burn. A daily deficit of 1000 calories produces a loss of 2 pounds a week (in theory). To achieve that, a person might eat 700 calories a day less than burned and then burn 300 extra calories with exercise or use any combination to equal 1000. But for small people and many others, a 1000 calorie deficit is too severe, and so they aim for less. For instance, a 500 calorie deficit achieved by eating 300 fewer calories and burning 200 more, produces a loss of one pound a week.

3rd mini challenge (April 16- April 23)
Total 8 days

1. Cut out one food item you don't think you can LIVE WITHOUT!
ex: chocolate, butter, sugar, bread, coffee, pasta...
2. Drink at LEAST HALF of your body weight in WATER! (Take your weight. Divide it in TWO. Take that number and drink that many ounces of water a day. 182 / 2 = 91 oz daily)

Don't fool yourself! In order to lose it, we have to break our addiction to food!

4th mini challenge (April 24- April 30)
Total 7 days

Try a new form of moving your body!
ex: rollerblade, cycle, dance, jump rope, wii fit, 7 day trial at gym, jog
JUST DO SOMETHING TO MOVE YOUR BODY (For at least 30 min a day)
(2. Also, try to eat a 500 cal deficit again today and incorporate it into your lifestyle)

Alright! LETS MAKE APRIL GREAT AND LOSE THIS WEIGHT!

  • NOOOOOOOO!!!! You are NOT taking away my COFFEE!!! I cannot do it! I WILL NOT do it! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!! lol hahahahahaha Um, I think you'll need to make a video before each mini-challenge to help remind me (and others) of what the mini challenge is for the next few days. I love this idea though!

  • I cant make videos but I am gonna do the challenge with you just with out videos sounds like a great challenge!!
