They would have received strike pay from the union.
-
do you know if they got paid during the strike time?
-
I got an $175 refund for my annual student pass for the 51 days of the strike.
-
I like how he said at the end, "Hopefully it will be over before Christmas," and it lasted until February.

my last name is Cunningham too! nice
-
Well at least it's finally over.
As much as I'd love to never ride the bus again... I have no other way to get around!

I think the bus drivers are a bunch of bastards. They started this strike at the worst possible time to hurt as many people as possible.
I hope the city keep them out for a very long time.

yeah im sure that ottawa police are tracking people down one here to read what they say ya , i realy think thats true,
-
you mean 2009 don't you? All for it, but post links for people to carpool. I live down by CU and am an angry student. Seeing old people suffer is very heartbreaking.
I will never say "thank you" to the OCT drivers again in the future!!

OC Transpo should not have the right to strike. They should be declared "essential workers". This latest strike was timed to produce the most chaos possible. Think about it. It is in the winter, so many cyclists are now relying on the bus; it is just before christmas, so the merchants will feel the most pain with their shelves stocked with inventory that they cannot sell. Let this be the last time that they pull this kind of dirty stunt. They must be declared essential workers.
