Steely Dan plays "Do it Again" at R&R Hall of Fame induction

Honestly, have you ever heard of another band that said they were influence by Steely Dan? Their type of music was the norm back in there day. Nothing original about them what so ever.

As far as DEVO, I can name over 200 bands who said DEVO inspired them over the years. The music they played back in the early 80's you can still hear their influence on today's music.

Devo repeated the same song 100 times with the lasting value of neil Diamond who did the same.

Steely Dan wrote songs about the sad arsed losers in the world with affection and empathy...something some losers who have posted here would have trouble understanding.

Lyrically and musically Devo and their pseudo trendoid poseurs couldn't tie Becker and Fagan's bootlaces.

this is fucking terrible. love steely dan but this is making a mockery of them, and their talent. shit band.

How in the world did this band ever get into the Rock hall of fame??
What a joke a band like Steely Dan can get in and bands like DEVO, who were way ahead of their time musically and socially can't.
You hear  a lot of DEVO influence music today. Steely Dan are just Santana rip-off!!

House band Sucks, not even close to being up to playing a Dan song. Paul Shaffer, ket the fuck out of the way you douchebag! Fagan was pissed, you can tell, and he had every right to be. What a horrible performance. Fagan and Becker should have just brought their own band and rehearsed it up themselves without the Shaffer douche patrol.

It doesn't help that they got Debra Winger and Diane Keaton as backup singers.

Whoever wrote the horn parts for this gig screwed up bad. They come in on the wrong key at the wrong time; as for Paul Schaffer...any reputable musician in the business knows he is a piece of Spam!!!
